Anyone familiar with the Pole Pack? I'm looking to protect & carry 2Pc. surf rods up to 13'. They make a carry pole pack 5' & 6' long that will carry up to 3 rods broke down. I've looked online at Cabela's. Not impressed with their choices in the price range of $25-$50. Just curious what any of you'all are using? Thanks in advance. Would post the Pole Pack website, but not sure if that's a no,no. Stevie:fishing:

The British Tackle shops carry holdalls and quivers for rods, manufactured by different companies and with differing sizes and capacities, though the longest I've seen is 195 cm (roughly 6.4 feet) and sold through Daiwa UK

Wonder if a soft rifle case would work. I think it'd work great. Only problem I see is it might not look too good carrying a rifle case around the beach... :D

I believe links are OK on this site.
I use bags to carry rods from 13 to 15 feet. They're available in either 2 or 4 sleeve (1 or 2 rod) versions. I usually buy the one for two rods as it provides a little extra protection. I've purchased from both Roy's and Brian's (see link).

I have always wondered why most rods here are sold without rod bags, I remember when doing a lots of beachfishing/competition fishing in England that most people had roll-up type rod carriers that you would put your rods (in the bag) your tripod and umbrella(big one designed for use as a shelter when fishing) or homemade shelter in for carrying. No ORV's on the beach there(at least in the part of the country I was in)
I'm collecting up old blue jeans and am going to make rod bags out of them with the aid of a sewing machine. Yes, I took shop and home ec. at school:)

Got a ski bag I used to use. Works fine, but everything jumbles together.
Bought the Bass pro shop extreme combo caddy (21-388-965) on sale for either 30 or 35 bucks. Works a lot better than the ski bag. Holds 8 combos & pretty well padded.

Veals uk has stuff. Titan makes some decent rod protection covers. And some one makes some bigger carry alls that is meant to carry several rods and rod holders. The carry alls are good for walking but bulky for a ski rack. And the other rod protectors aren't made to carry several rods. Cabelas rod socks were short for me but they'll protect if you are going to roof top a rod.
