Anyone use the 20 lb chartreuse Salt Striker line? They have a 60 day money back guarantee on it, and it's cheap at $19.99/1 lb. I'd imagine it's the same run of line as you buy name branded somewhere, as it'd cost too much to have their own made. I'm not one to use cheap lines but I've never been unhappy with anything with the Cabela's name on it.
Opinions? I wish they had 17 lb, but 20 would have to do.

I tried it. Super thin. Seemed ok...caught a 48" drum using it. But methinks the knot strength is not too good and won't be using it again.

What makes you think the knot strength isn't good? Just curious as I've never used it.

When I tie my standard spider hitch to no-name shocker knot in Tri +, Momoi, or BG I can never break it with my bare hands. And I sometimes can with the Salt Striker. It breaks right at the SH. Enough for me not to use it again. Too bad, as otherwise I think it is a great line.

Does it break or slip?

I wonder if you might have just gotten an old batch. I've had that happen with Sufix once it's several months old.

I use it a good bit and like it a lot. It is a fairly thin line, though, with the 20lb measuring out at 0.35mm and the 15lb at 0.31mm. I use the 15lb, 20lb, and 60lb and don't have any problems knotting it. But, then again, I'm a Bimini Twist kind of person :D

Smooth, I've used Salt Striker line in 20# but not in the chartreuse. I've never had a problem out if it either. In fact, for the money, I think it's one of the best I've tried.

Or maybe a bad spool. I bought two of 'em...first one seemed ok. But this one is not. I am not going to chance losing a big fish on cheapo line that I have no confidence in. BTW, this is the chartreuse.
