********Well, I just got back from the 4 hour roundtrip down to Concord, NH to attend the public hearing on HCR-6. Here it is:
Link.

The committee room they held the hearing in was standing room only and it overflowed out into the hallway. I got there about a minute after the hearing began and somehow managed to get jostled right to the front by the latecomers behind me. At any rate I was about 8 feet from the hearing table and there was quite an electric feeling in the air.
Every speaker, mostly state representatives but some community leaders as well, were in support of the resolution. Here are the buzzwords that I heard several times.
1. Revolution.
2. Depression.
3. State's rights.
I'm sure it will pass the committee but have no idea about the general vote, although from what I saw and heard, it is seriously being considered.
Whether the gov't of the state is willing to walk the talk is a whole other matter though.
I kind of felt like I was watching history being made, it was wild.
Oh, several speakers mentioned that they have never had such a response from their constituents as they have on this resolution. They also stated that they have been inundated with interview requests from around the world. This could be a pretty important indicator, hard to say. I'm starting a letter writing campaign to all the state senators tomorrow to fill them in with what I witnessed and urge their support. ************

********I spent four hours tonight on a Conference call with people all across the country who were active in getting these resolutions introduced in the various states. They concur with what I found out, and they know that right now they are resolutions, but if they can get them passed, they will push forward for actual Bills and then laws. As the economic situation deteriorates there is a general concensus that many states may have no choice but to cut the cord from the gaping hole of debt our federal government is becoming. With the exception of California, most states have smaller percentage of debt burden than the country.

There were liberals, moderates and conservatives from all across the country who agreed on one thing:

THE GOVERNMENT IS OUT OF CONTROL AND IT HAS BECOME THE CRIMINAL. There was also unanimous agreement, even amongst those who voted for and supported him, that Obama is a complete fraud. Geithner was the tipping point, and the point of no-return seems to have been Daschle. Not a single person believed he has brought any change. Actually, most believed he's made (and will continue to make) things much worse.

The conference call was joined half-way through by Bob Schulz of We The People Foundation. He is the one organizing the Continental Congress and he was reporting that he has now held meetings in 27 states and the meetings were filled to capacity. He has had a very vast array of people attending these meetings, and said that in numerous cases there were groups of lawyers and in New Jersey he had a State Supreme Court Justice. **********
Discuss.....

They've all gone to look for America.

I have to run out for a four, I'll fix the links when I get back...
Here is a Rundown on NH's resolution...

The New Hampshire state legislature took an unbelievably bold step today by introducing a resolution to declare certain actions by the federal government to completely totally void and warning that certain future acts will be viewed as a "breach of peace" with the states themselves that risks "nullifying the Constitution."

This act by New Hampshire is a clear warning to the federal government that they could face being stripped of their power by the States (presumably through civil war!

The remarkable document outlines with perfect clarity, some basics long forgotten. For instance, it reminds Congress "That the Constitution of the United States, having delegated to Congress a power to punish treason, counterfeiting the securities and current coin of the United States, piracy, and felonies committed on the high seas, and offenses against the law of nations, slavery, and no other crimes whatsoever;. . . . . therefore all acts of Congress which assume to create, define, or punish crimes, other than those so enumerated in the Constitution are altogether void, and of no force;"

Federal gun crime laws? Void. Federal drug crime laws? Void. The gazillion other federal criminal laws that deal with anything other than the specific enumerated crimes? ALL VOID.

One would think that if any lawyer anywhere in the entire country was worth his salt, all federal criminal trials would have ended years ago. This seems to prove that most lawyers are dullards.

New Hampshire deals a complete death blow to the pending federal hate crimes legislation by pointing out "That, therefore, all acts of Congress of the United States which do abridge the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, are not law, but are altogether void, and of no force; . . . . ."

Later in the Resolution, New Hampshire makes clear what the feds are now risking if they proceed further: The removal of all powers from the federal government by the States!

Quoting directly from the Resolution: "That any Act by the Congress of the United States, Executive Order of the President of the United States of America or Judicial Order by the Judicatories of the United States of America which assumes a power not delegated to the government of United States of America by the Constitution for the United States of America and which serves to diminish the liberty of the any of the several States or their citizens shall constitute a nullification of the Constitution for the United States of America by the government of the United States of America. Acts which would cause such a nullification include, but are not limited to:

I. Establishing martial law or a state of emergency within one of the States comprising the United States of America without the consent of the legislature of that State.

II. Requiring involuntary servitude, or governmental service other than a draft during a declared war, or pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law.

III. Requiring involuntary servitude or governmental service of persons under the age of 18 other than pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law.

IV. Surrendering any power delegated or not delegated to any corporation or foreign government.

V. Any act regarding religion; further limitations on freedom of political speech; or further limitations on freedom of the press.

VI. Further infringements on the right to keep and bear arms including prohibitions of type or quantity of arms or ammunition; and

That should any such act of Congress become law or Executive Order or Judicial Order be put into force, all powers previously delegated to the United States of America by the Constitution for the United States shall revert to the several States individually."

If states were really set on restoring their powers and voice the first thing that must be done is to get the 2/3rds and demand a constitutional convention and restore the appointment of Senators back to the State legislatures as originally specified in Article I, section 3 of the Constitution:

"The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each state, chosen by the legislature thereof for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote."

Direct election of senators has destroyed the "federal" government.

Never happen.

Maybe I'm a backwards conservative (anyone who knows me knows this to be the opposite of truth) but I can't see this ever becoming a reality. What could they possibly hope to accomplish?

If you need some Confederates help in fighting this new War between the States sign me up.

Seriously though it'll never happen. Why the Government as been a unrestricted criminal enterprise since at least 1861 look it up the reserve clause Any power not given to Congress is reserved by the States

The state constitiutions of VA NY RI and TX all had seccision clauses in them but the Yankees trampled all over the Bill of Rights back then (much like they do today).

However we do need a little uprising to straighten out this power hungry congressmen and lobbyists so I say we bulid a giant Guilltine somewhere and start with head chopping.

A little revolution every know and again is a good thing
