I want to think it's a hoax as well. Especially since Casey Affleck is filming all of this for a documentary. You would think after his brother died of a drug overdose he would know better than to go down that road, but you never know. The Letterman show the other night was hilarious but very uncomfortable to watch. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

his facade cracked at the very end, when letterman said "sorry you couldn't be with us here tonight"

Undoubtedly, he's pulling Letterman's chain. Pretty funny though. Letterman has some classic pokes.

I seriously think he was wacked out on heroin or something. That was possibly one of the best Letterman interviews I've seen. Letterman let him have it in a manner that not many people could have pulled off.

Dogg, I can promise you it wasn't pot he was on. I'm not a hippy pot activist, as a matter of fact I haven't smoked it in years, but you could smoke some of the most potent pot all day long and it wouldn't affect you as much as a good bottle of liquor..... Nah, that kid was on something heavy,,,, that is if the whole thing wasn't an act in the first place. It's kind of odd Casey Affleck is at all these appearances Joaquin is making, video taping the whole thing for a "documentary". I'm not sure if the whole thing is an act, but if it isn't, he definitely doesn't have very good friends! If he was on something, I don't know what it may have been. Luckily I never messed with it, but I've seen a lot of kids lives ruined by messing with coke. I don't think that was what he was on. Maybe heroin or something? I've never seen anybody on heroin, so I don't know what they act like. It is a shame if he is really going down addiction road like River did. Joaquin had a lot going for him. The critics loved him, and so did alot of really hot chicks!! Now he looks like a fiend version of Oscar the Grouch...... It's probably Obama's fault:D:D.......................

You and me both. I was making a joke and it wasn't coke. Been there and did that and got help before it got out of hand and before I got hired in my job. And to think it all started for me with a little pot smoking. BUT.....there was something really weird with him and Jeff I think you're right. He just may end up like his brother.

i saw the interview and it definately made me feel uncomfortable and im guessing thats what he wanted to make everyone feel. i going with the guess its an act. i think he is bored with the ''hollywood scene'', has a bundle of cash from 'walk the line', trying to make a cult film, psycho-documentary, 'the life and hard times of guy terrifico'' type film.
i guess we will see how it plays out, either in rehab or on the slab or at the Oscars i guess.

Even if it is all a joke, I cant believe that he would make light of the situation that wound up with his brother dieing of an overdose.
