I thought it ended too soon. Would have liked to see Mark Martin have a shot at the win. NASCAR wants as much prime time exposure as they can get so I don't understand the need to shut it down as quickly as they did. Every time I've been in that part of Fla. it rains for a few minutes and stops for an hour or so. They could have finished if they really wanted to. JMO

Normally that is the case for Florida LRJ, but up here (about 90 miles North from where I am sitting to the track) we have been getting rain pretty steady all day. Not to say that they couldnt have at least waited a LITTLe longer before calling it. With that being said, JR cracked me up the way he clipped Vickers to cause that chain reaction. Now we get to hear what a bad racer he is for the next week from all of his haters

Even w/a rain stoppage, ya gotta give it to the 17 Dewalt Ford Fusion. Started damn near last an ran to the front. WHOOORAAA!

And you gotta give some props to Harvick to, he started in the back of the pack, came back up, dropped back to 37th AGAIN! And managed to place 2nd!!! “W00T”!!!

Good race IMHO!

Must be on drugs .... can't find his pit .... can't do anything right .... even Micheal Waltrip finished ahead of him ...

the reason they stopped it was it would have taken forever to dry 2.5 miles of track ... they should have cut out all the crap and started the race way ealier .....

I think Kyle Bush and Baby E were swapped at birth ... he drives alot more like Dale than Baby E does anyday .... and the attitude to match ... hell you take away those restrictor races way and how many does E have ... MW was winning in those cars too .... big deal .....

Still haven't forgave MM for getting out of the car last year in the points lead .....

Oh well it is what it is

Junebug couldn't have performed worse. How can a driver miss his pit box TWICE and then wreck most of the elite drivers? And why didn't they back him up the second time when he was just a few inches over? They need to sit him down and tell him to get his act together and then fire all of his relatives.

I'm a huge Jr. fan but right now it appears as if Busch has forgotten more about racing than Jr. has ever known. In fact I'd be willing to bet that if you put ANY driver in Hendrick's equipment they'd out drive him. . . . at least right now.

Damn I'm disgusted!

Tony Eury said after the race that the official didnt let them know he was technically over until after they had already taken the 2 right side tires off. If my memory serves me correctly for a change, I semi-remember them saying the same thing when they showed replays during the race. Still not an excuse, but if the tires were already off, there was nothing that could be done at that point

Just now heard on sports center that it rained throughout the night. So...I guess I have to give it up to NASCAR for making a good call. It isn't very often they do that, so I'm a little out of practice giving them kudos. This crow tastes like crap!

Not Jr.s best race. As they say though, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Maybe a bit of Sr. coming out of the youngun? He raced like a mad man, not a smart man!

I'd have to watch again but it seemed like he was there right away and motioning them to back him up. AND why didn't the tire changer himself make the call. No one was closer than him. Plus, they held him for a lap right? They could have put the d@mn tires back on the car and then backed him up and been better off.

I think the rule is once you begin the work, you can not move back and the penalty is enforced regardless. That is why once the tires were off, there was nothing that could be done. Of course the team would rather take the 15 seconds to move it within the lines instead of a lap penalty if that was an option. Again, not defending the team's total miscue on that stop, but thats the way I understood the rules.

Not sure of the exact rule either but you could certainly be right. Guess I'm just totally frustrated with his lack of professionalism and judgement.

Good side by side racing for the most part with none of that boring follow the leader crap till the final lap. Pretty pathetic attempt though for nascar to call it after 15 minutes. I mean its supposed to be the dang on 500 bub! This sport has become a joke, harder and harder to watch every year. Nascar just punked us and handed a meaningless trophy to Matt Kenseth.

These guys train day in and day out, they are professionals and are paid as such. They now what the rules are, they now where the line is, and at a super speedway the time lost backing the car up would have far less impact than the penalty.
It was a bone head move. Jr is under pressure to perform. He has no excuses now, he's in some of the best equipment, he knows it and so do we. You'll see just where his talent level truly is now.

Best Equipment in NASCAR, a special set of rules made just for him.

And He still will never win a championship

Rule? What rule? We all know NASCAR makes them up as they go along! Dale Jr. wrecks the field! "Huh, what. I didn't see nuttin." - Mike Helton
