barnacles for bait

I have been told barnacles are like candy for sheephead. what is the best way to put them on a hook?:fishing:

Just hook a couple through the middle and that's it.

Scrape some off to fall as 'chum' when they get to feeding, they're easy. Strike just before they bite. C2

If you're on a boat, drag a hoe up and down on the pilings to break the barnacles loose for chum. Drop down a teeny piece of clam on a hook and hang on.
