diawa saltiga surf rods

Can someone give me some reviews on the Diawa saltiga surf rods? I already have a 12 ft. Tsunami trophy and was trying to compare the two. Thanks.

I have both the Airwave and the Saltiga. If you have the saltiga in my opinion you don't need the airwave... The saltiga is hands on the best off the rack rod I have ever used and it is equipped with the low riders for spin and convench. I have the 13' job 2 to 10 and am happy as all get out with it. The airwave tsunami is good, but the saltiga is better... salt

You say Saltiga Surf rods, but did you mean Saltiga Ballistic Surf rods?.....they make both.....two completely different rods.......I believe Saltshaker's reply is for the Ballistic.

Your right dsurf, I keep forgetting the ballistic, that's the baby I got, I use the 10' airwave mostly for plugging here in NJ, use the ballistic for most everything else all over... one hell of a stick in my opinion... thanks for getting that straight for me... salt

what types of grip handles on on the saltiga? are those textured vinyl like the oens on tsunami airwaves or cork tapes? which type is better?
