Harry Kalas, voice of the Phillies, died today at the age of 73. I grew up listening to him on the radio at night, announcing the games with Richie Ashburn.
It's not going to be the same without him.:(

I also remember several years ago when at night I could pick up baseball games on AM from St. Louis (Jack Buck) and Philly. I haven't listened to Kalas do a baseball game in awhile, but I also used to listen to him do the Westwood 1 NFL broadcasts and of course the NFL films. He was an icon. RIP.
Too bad about Fydrich, too. I remember that one great year he had when Keith Jackson and Cosell used to do MNB, and it seemed like Detroit was always on there. I heard on the radio today that he was working on a dump truck and it fell on him. RIP.
Also RIP Marilyn Chambers.
