Yeah its a pretty good show. Ya really can't say who was the deadliest warrior. IMO, they were all deadly for their time period.

yeah agreed but for the show if they met face to face, that is what makes it entertaining, and yeah i dont agree with some of the results, atm im 50/50 being the first 2 shows for who wins.

Actually, the Spartans were also known for their hand to hand combat techniques, very skilled, trained to wrestle and foot fight as well as weapons.

can almost garuntee they will but you gotta take into account pistols of the time used lead ball shot, and knights had plate armor,usually with chain underneath. gonna be interesting to say the least.

If the Pirate gets pistols the Knight should get a horse. To carry all that armor the Knight would be very slow on the ground.

The Pirate should hope so. Ever heard of Agincourt? The reason the English pretty much beat france to a pulp around AD 1300 was that their archers figured out that when you shoot a charging horse, the guy on his back in 120lbs of armor dies when he hits the ground.

Ya'll are forgetting that Ninja don't fight fairly. They got their fearsome reputation because:
1) they attacked from the shadows without warning
2) they used poisons
3) they often attacked with overwhelming numbers
4) they could be ANYONE.

The Navy Seal can fight with special forces from other countries but I dought they would allow that for security reasons. Countries like the U.S.A would not want to reveal tactics.

I think that one will come down to steel vs wood. Unless the maori can just batter the monks to death, their weapons shouldn't stand a chance against shaolin....but the islanders DO look like the more badass of the two. I wouldn't cross one!

Well being that my old man was Scotish?Irish I remember him telling me bedtime stories about buys like William Wallace. This is gonna be a good match up. I think on close up hand to hand, I'm gonna go with William Wallace, but the Zulu Warriors were great in their own right as well. We shall see.

Well, Shaka's main weapon was a short stabbing spear, and for defense he had a bullhide shield. William Wallace's main weapon was a two handed claymore many men couldn't even wield and he had chain mail. I think Shaka's main claim to glory was he unified the tribes; however, he did that because he was a bloodthirsty sociopath who enjoyed killing. Prior to him, African warfare wasn't quite as bloody, more intimidation, throw a few spears at each other then go home. He shortened the spear, trained his men how to go under the shield, and killed when he didn't need to. It'll be interesting, that's for sure. I think I'll put my money on ole William Wallace though.

I guess the show has been airing here on Tuesdays, but the commercials have always advertised for Sundays.. I didn't even know the show was on last night until I took another look at this thread.;) Thank goodness for the lounge!!! My pick didn't win anyway.. Funnily enough, the IRA outsourced some of their bomb experts to various terrorist training camps including, I believe, the Taliban. I'm thinking the Taliban will win. They're warriors, after all, not just terrorists who plant bombs then run away. Remember, these are the guys who made up the Mujhadeen which fought off the Soviets for 10 years, finally liberating Afghanistan before taking it over and instituting their form of despotic Sharia law. The IRA, on the other hand, have yet to kick England out of Ireland.
