Just got a used 6500 yonder and am trying to figure out which rod under 150 would be best for it. Any suggestions are appreciated

The Ocean Master rods from BPS would be great. I think they retail for $130 or $140. Check Greg's Bait Shack.
Also the Daiwa Emblem surf series is a good line of rods.

These are beautiful rods. The Ocean Master rods are so well made.
Also consider Lamiglas and St. Croix rods as well.

St. Croix Triumph series surf rods are great IMO especially for the price. Penn makes nice surf rods too that are in the price range you are looking for check these out http://www.tackledirect.com/penn-power-stick-surf-rods.html

I have one of those (Penn) but they are all spinning rods. Love the one I have but this is for a casting reel...thanks though

I ordered a 10' OM from Greg's. It's the lite one rated for 1-4 oz If I don't like it for the 6500 I can use it for a couple of other reels or sell it. I'll let you all know what I think in a week or so. Thank's for the help
