Hampton Roads WTVZ channel 33 reception issue question

I'm not able to receive channel 33 on the digital tv converter boxes in our place. It was clear as can be up until around a week ago. :confused: Anyone having issues besides me? Have they moved positions on the dial? Any suggestions?

I had the same problem. Use your remote and click on menu. go to auto search and re do your channels. I have WTVZ back now.

Finally....someone chimes in.
Can't figure these guys up here sometimes. Wonder if they'd throw me a life preserver if I found myself in a needy position. :rolleyes:

Thanks Jerryc. I called the station and they said they had been assigned some new frequency/position...or something like that. Not the number position....but some other technical repositioning jargon. They had been advertising of that upcoming change but I missed it somehow. Looks like that may be the norm with all the digital stations in the area. Maybe some even before the June 12 switch over.

Yep....I did the update scan and picked it up. Had to delete the other 33-1 and 33-2 that had been working. Strange how they were blank yet the newly added replacements were A-OK. Wish I had waited til the next morning....did it on a Friday afternoon. Had to put up with 2 hours of Pro Wrestling on the big tv. :( Guess I should have left well enough alone. :rolleyes:
