Evening guys,

Wonder if some of you could shed some light on a couple of questions?

Going to OBX in mid June and I will be spending some time on the beach.
With my 12' Rod I will be sending an 8Oz weight out with a fish finder rig on it, I have that one covered. What I am unsure of is how what type of rig should I use on my two shorter rods? I believe that with my 8' rod I will simply rig up my pole float with about a 6' leader and use a shrimp just to see what passes by closer to shore. Will this work, or will I be wasting my time? My 10' rod I am lost, I really do not want to rig up another fish finder. Any suggestions,

Thanks guys, I appreciate it......

10 ft. put on a 2 hook bottom rig with a 3 to 4 oz sinker...... and the 8 ft. and float rid and live shrimp, that can work too.....

Dito on the big rod. Big fish way out. A 2 hook bottom rig on the 10'er - fish in breakers up to the suds for pomps, whiting, and croakers. I use circle hook on both of them and spike the rods. 8' - my third rod I keep a spoon or bucktail for casting at schools if I see one or get bored. You can also cast a jig or bucktail tipped with a piece of shrimp or a minnow and fish cover, a rip line, or deep hole. Just reel slow like you are fishing a bass worm. In a school works on it too.:fishing:

Appreciate the input guys, I think that w/ the 10' I will use the double bottom hook rig and see if that will do the trick. Still pondering about the 8' one. :fishing:
