BAYONNE, N.J. (AP) -- An animal rights group wants to use a New Jersey lighthouse and two others in Michigan to publicize what it says are the horrors of killing fish for food and sport.

PETA is ridiculous!!! They don't even think anyone should own a pet and are in favor of performing genocide on a certain breed of dog (pitbulls, because humans are stupid and mistreat the loyalty of the breed but, lets blame the dog...real logical). At least they got Pam Anderson as some campaign pussy candy though lol...as in cats...lol

Oh, the horror!! Hope they don't serve animal crackers for dessert. BTW, for the non animal eaters, ever try to get deer hide out of a jammed combine (corn or soybeans) ?that will wear you out. Lots of goodies make it up the grain auger and into the silo,more big grasshoppers than one would think!! Everyone should make an educational trip to the farm. People will eat when they get hungry enough..Even fake fish!!

We'd better keep this in mind: Just because PETA is a wacko totally over the top group does not mean they are not dangerous to the sport we love. We would do much better to drop the name calling (gives them the excuse to label us ignorant Red Necks or worse in the public's eyes) and organize an effective defense against their attacks. And face it, sooner or later we are going to have to start buying our own congressmen and legislators to fight back. We've all seen it too many times--politics is what will decide the future of surf and pier fishing, and politics means money. Just because we are in the right, sane, and have a reasonable and balanced approach does not mean we'll win, and probably means we'll be ignored.
