i use squid and shrimp and nightcrawlers at the choptank fishing pier for them, last year i took some really cheap steak from the local food lion and cut into small pieces and caught a bunch of cats on that, only downfall to the steak was i hooked a few rays.

i like using whole live bluegill or cut shad. i have also used live perch with mixed results.

Fresh or frozen bunker left to spoil a few days.Fresh is best but frozen works.From a pier or boat peeler crab rules here in the northern Delaware.

My favorite is shrimp or peelers. night crawlers is my favorite cheap bait

1. fresh cut shad, heads and fillets if they're 6"+
2. white perch fillets, channels and blues especially love them
3. chicken livers, messy but work good, catch a lot of 3/4 lb bullheads
4. shrimp, if it wasn't so expensive in the inland stores, I'd use it more.

Bigger fish usually stay away from fake/unnatural baits like stinkbaits, livers, ect. Try a shad head and fillets of the shad, if there's anything around you'll find them.

Shrimp works best for me, sometimes squid will work.
