What are some of the most effective size, color, and types of lures used to catch redfish while inshore fishing along North Carolinas coast.

Thanks

Can't go wrong with a gold spoon, particularly a Johnson minnow.

On the Gulfcoast I have always had great success with 3-5" plastic mud minnows, the kind with the wobbling beaver tail, on a plain 1/8 to 3/8 ounce ball jig head. As far as color every company makes plenty of colors which aren't ever available any place I have bought them and some are too close to another color to make that much difference to a red. Heck they're cheap buy as many different colors/shades as you can justify you never know which one will be hot on any given day.

An orange spinnerbait with a gold blade also is a redfish killer. C2

I can't argue with that at all. If I were to have to fish with one lure of one color for everything forever a small white bucktail jig would be definitely be on a very short list as a finalist.

Dale, im sure you read the package but just a reminder, those spinnerbaits contain lead, and they are not for human consumption. :D

I've had luck with Dick's Sporting Goods spinnerbaits made by Strike King. They seem to prefer all chartreuse. Just run the spinnerbait along or nearby the grasses.

At night I've had good luck with the Mirrolure 52MR in black (NS) or purple (PD).
