Epixor 55a with???

Looking for a surf rod to compliment my epixor 55a. I have my Okuma Avenger on a 9 foot tica rod. I also have a Diawa Emcast surfcast 9 foot rod which I am currently using to throw Gotcha plugs..Awesome for that purpose; but I want to set something up to get some distance on my casts. Might go to a 12 foot Tica with the Avenger or Epixor.. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

OK...go with a 12 ft + rod. Judging from the reel, I am assuming you need a rod in the same price range. The Tica will do you well.

NP...and if you want to go a little cheaper...look at the "Ugly Stik"!

Well...in all honesty, I wouldn't call the "Ugly Stik" a "Wal-Mart" special. It's actually a pretty dang good rod!

after trying my brother-in-laws 12' ugly-stick, I'll stick with my tica 11'. Don't get me wrong though, my tough as nails 6'6 plugger and 7' two handed ugly sticks can take it!
