I am torn!!! I am sitting here enjoying 2K worth of fireworks sent over the pond in my backyard celebrating our independence from England, yet I throw an English rod in tourneys, happily expecting my 2nd English rod any day now!!!! What is a loyalist supposed to do!? LMAO

Shoot, all the running around I did yesterday and I never even went to pick up fireworks!!!:( I don't have to drive all the way to SC to get good fireworks, I can get them in NC. Just didn't have enough time... Luckily, when you live in my neighborhood, you don't have to go past the front lawn for a good fireworks show!!!;):D

We have lived here for just over 2 years now. The first year nothing. Last year, the neighbors across the pond spent about 1K on fireworks! We felt priviledged to be able to sit in our kitchen and watch a professional show over the water. This year was twice as big!! Not bad for something unexpected!! They were so nice, I can still hear the mortars going off. I asked the fella what I can do to help, he told me nothing, just sit back and enjoy!!!!! Can't beat that.

I guess since my neighborhood is defined my me and 3 others that live on this 5 acre pond, it is nice to know that the neighborly spirit is still alive!

Since I stay away from all fireworks I sat home with my 90 year old mother. We were sitting on the deck eating when neighbor sat off an entire pack of firecrackers. I thought that mom would have a heart attack it scared the living heck out of her. I thougt what the heck just this one time. He did it several times after that and waited about 30 minutes between. She had to go inside. I was furious but his wife read him the riot act and he came over and apologized to us and apologized to mom. That was nice of him.
