Lookin for some material to replace a busted PVC/metal spike sand spike that got mysteriously broken @ KDH this weekend.

I really dont want to use anymore of them PVC/Aluminum spike combo's,so I was intending to make my own.
I have read and gone to some sites that sell and carry the solid aluminum sand spikes, but I think I can make mine cheaper, and to my specification.

So if anyone can lead me to where I can find the materal for the tubing and the 1 inch corners(probably,an 8 foot peice),I would be greatful.

I would also like the peices to be aluminum.

That was probaly the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.
As far as the spikes go, try Angler's aluminum site, they make a nice heavy duty one.

Your local hardware store will carry the angle iron. Not sure they carry 8 ' section.

If you can't find alum. piping try copper.

There seem to be a few scrap metal/salvage places in your area, I think I'd give them a call first.

Best thing I've seen is angle iron screwed into a PVC pipe. All those big welded spikes fall apart.

Otherwise just stick to standard sand spikes.

that just depends on who welds them:)
