Have any of you chartered a boat out of Nassau, Bahamas? I will be in Port Lucaya in mid march, and I am looking for some info on charter boats. I am just looking for a half day trip, and I want to catch some Dolphin, Baracuda etc. (maybe a marlin or tuna, but its not really the hot season for them yet.) :D

Any info on charters in that area would be appreciated, as well as tips for fishing down there in general.

Thanks!

I did come across that site in my searches, but they are a little more expensive than what I was looking for.

55' Ocean Sport Fisher Full Day $2000.00
55' Ocean Sport Fisher Half Day $1200.00
46' Bertrum Sport Fisher Full Day $1400.00
46' Bertrum Sport Fisher Half Day $800.00
26' Pursuit Sport Fishing Boat Full Day $650.00

It will just be me and one other guy fishing (the girls arent interested), so maybe a head boat of sorts would be more cost effective.

Thanks for the link.

Cocoflea - Thanks for the help.

I ended up booking a 4 hour reef trip on the Lil B. I opted for the evening trip to catch grouper, baracuda and snapper.

Cant beat the price - $45 per person, minimum of 2, max 4. All tackle, bait, and ice provided. This guy even cleans the fish for you and provides round trip transport to and from the hotel. Hopefully I will be posting some pics when I return. :D
