Use a 3 way rig if you're goin to be drifting. When I'm fishing around the CBBT I like to use about a 4 foot dropper to my sinker (this way I can reel the swivel to the rod tip then lift the rod and its easy to have the weight under control) and about an 8-10 foot leader to the hook. Put on a live minnow followed by a tapered strip of squid.
