Lip Gripper

Anyone has any of the lip grippers out there? I know boga is the high end stuff, then Rapala and berkley. I believe Cabela has one coming out also.

Before I make a purcahse I wanted to know if it is useful for pier and surf folks like us or is this a boat tool.

I'm thinking of Rapala's Lock 'n Grip which allows me to use only one hand while others require two. Any thoughts on this?

A buddy of mine gave me a real heavy orange plastic gripper. It looks like a pair of pliers. Works good to!

I was looking to purchase one of these in the near future. I would love to get the boga grip but that is way outta my price range. There are some imitation ones that I may purchase in the near future. I just want one with a scale up to 30lbs on it.

Are these lip grippers big rip off? Seems to me buying a nice pair of pliers will work...
