Washington D.C. : BUSH DECLARES SELF "MASTER DEBATOR" says "I WILL HAVE KERRY IN THE PALM OF MY HAND'!!! Dubya, definitely a " hands on" president. Personally I think he is a chronic Master Debator.

I was in a local supermarket here in my hometown
and a guy was talking to his wife, prasing John Kerry. Although illinformed, it is his right. But something he said struck a nerve with me. He quoted an interview which I have on tape by the way where John Kerry stated that 9/11 was this countries fault. Not the present administrations, but this countries!!!!! So against my better judgement, like I said, although illinformed, I aksed the gentleman if he was in the military, he said no. I asked him if he ever served in the military, he said no. I asked him if he was a police officer, he said no. I asked him if he was a firefighter, he said no. I replied that I am a firefighter and have been for six years. I aksed him if he had ever been to ground zero, he said no. I have!! I asked if he knew how many of my brother firefighters gave their lives and he said I dont know.....333 brave souls!!!! I asked him if he knew how many people those brave souls saved, he said alot I guess......close 30,000. I then asked him if it was their fault for giving their lives to save people that they didnt even know. What I'm getting at is I could care less if you like Bush,Kerry or the man in the moon. Just know why you like the person you like. So we spend millions of dollars fighting the war on terrorism. I have a nephew in the 15th calvary scouts special forces who could go overseas at anytime. Do I like the fact that he could be hurt or killed, no I do not. However I am proud that he would give his life for something that he believes in. Every time that I go on a fire call, it could be anything, from a simple fire alarm to an act of terrorism. So I guess it would be my fault if I get hurt or even killed saving a clown like this who lives in my fire district by the way. It just boggles my mind that this guy could say something like that when he has never been there. Ya gotta love AMERICA!!!!!

Hey fluff, just an off the wall question but, what kind of shape do you think this country and the world would be in right now if that idiot "slick willie" was still in office?? Criticize all you want, that is your right, but as far as I'm concerned, GOD BLESS GEORGE BUSH!!

Well Said RuddeDogg

Ill agree with you on what you said, but I AM one who believes 9/11 could have been avoided. The current regime as well as the last knew what was coming and did very little about it. If I remember correctly, The last regime was on watch when the parking garage at the towers were bombed. At that time they knew it was Bin Laden but did very little to try and capture him. The current regime has ties to the Bin Laden family via the Carlyle Group. If you look them up on the web you find sites stating that. Here are a few links for you: http://www.texasobserver.org/showArt...?ArticleID=480 ; http://www.judicialwatch.org/1685.shtml ; http://www.inthesetimes.com/issue/25/25/feature3.shtml ; http://www.informationclearinghouse....rticle3995.htm

These are just a few, but there are many more. I disagree with that guy from the store that it was our fault. But I do believe the government could have stopped it well before it happened. Hey Jay B, Yeah slick wille was an idiot but good ol' Dubya is and even bigger idiot. He hasnt told the truth since hes been in office.

Why is it that when a man is elected President he
and his administration is blamed for what his predecessor and the admin before him did? I have never understood that. That's like me getting blamed for something my father did when he was my age. Yes, Big Bubba Clinton was and is a disgrace to my race and gender. Instead of dealing with things the way he should have he was adding new flavors to his cigar collection. If George Sr didnt cave in to the first coalition we probably would not be in Iraq now. That's the problem with the past admins. They didnt get the job done the first time so it has to be done again. Yes, we did know about 9/11 in 1993, but only how it was going to be done, not when. For anyone who knows anything about terrorism, its not the act of violence that the terrorist is looking for but the act of instilling fear. Kinda like a stalker. You know he is there but you dont know when he is going to show his face. There are two things you can do, live in fear or do the best you can to prevent it fron happening. I believe that GW is doing just that. These are not the camel jockeys that people think they are. I'll give you an example, each side of the World Trade Center was 210 feet wide. Each plane that was used to hit the towers was 157 feet wide. Sounds to me like that they knew what they were doing!!!

War

I think its quite clear what the war in Iraq is about. Its about protecting our country and make it known that if you attack this country you will have to pay the price. Its about time that we stand up for freedom the way we have in the past. Now that we have a president with the testicular fortitude to stand up and do whats right instead of what the other world leaders are affraid to do he is viewed as a bully. No one is perfect, mistakes have been made. But what is right is right. To the nay sayers I say this....My father used to say to us kids that a dog is gonna do two things if you kick it long enough....roll over and die, or bite ya in the ASS. Its time that this country stopped rolling over for people.

Rudedog, I am thankful to people like yourself, and your nephew. If Iraq is about protecting our country, though, which plane was Saddam, or any other Iraqi, flying? Just so we're all clear, I totally supported us going into Afghanistan, that's where the terrorists were. Then we started to dilute that effort so we could go to Iraq, ewhere the terrorists were not.

End result = less troops in Afghanistan, making it more dangerous there and less likely we could catch/kill Bin Laden or other high-level operatives, and sent troopps where there were no terrorists (Iraq), creating new terrorists there. So, less troops to fight terrorist group "A", troops diverted/more troops called in to fight terrorist group "B", which only exists because we sent troops to Iraq. Anybody confused.

Also, Rudedog, the fact that I support folks like your nephew is the reason I am pissed about Iraq. He is highly trained, and willing to give his life for our country at the drop of a hat. He deserves better than being sent into the desert on a bunch of lies (which shift weekly) to be shot at in a country that never seriously threatened us......

questions like "where are the WMDs I kept preaching about"?

or "Why are all the US troops getting shot at--where are the kids with flowers?"

or "why isn't the handoff going smoothly?"

or "why don't we have Bin Laden yet?"

or "why is the US military worried about losing troops and failing to meet recruitment goals?"

or "why do pollls suggest most of the rest of the world now hates us more than before 9-11?"

or "why is Al Qaeda's recruitment going up as our own military's recruitment falls?"

Questions like those? Perhaps its good to ask around a bit first, instead

answers

1. Who cares we should of took him out a long time ago.

2. Because we are soldiers and thats our job. We were not forced to join it by our own free will and thats what we are fighting for.

3. Cause the iraqs are trying to build a new nation from a dictatorship(sp).

4. I dont know...cause he is a sneaky bastard?

5. Of course we are worried about losing troops, we're a family...thats natural. Recruitment is down because the job of a soldier is now "REAL", no longer it it a "9-5" job.

6. Why should we care what other nations think about us.

7. see #4

I use the term we cause I'm a soldier and although I have not been to Iraq yet i'm ready and willing to do my job.

This whole topic rubs me wrong, but thats my $.02
