Virginia Virginia anglers are blessed with waters that hold stripers, red and black drum, and cobia. Miles of fishable beaches and plenty of piers make the mouth of the Chesapeake the place where northern and southern fish meet.

how many guide inserts have fallen out? This is very common for these rods since they don't really use any high grade components. Give Walt D a PM. Pretty sure he can help you out. Tell em Al sent ya.

There was a time when Tica made some of there rod with inferier parts. Rods being made now are fine after complaints made to them. Take the rod to a tackle shop or a rod builder they can replace the broken guides or you can have them all replaced.

so Im guessing that there is not a warrenty and i will have to replace the guides at a price of $15 a eye ($45-$100) not a great deal to end up with a $200, $100 rod

Have you called or e-mailed the company? Hopefully they or the shop you purchased the rod from could help you out. No reason to pay for it if it's under warantee!

One year warranty on Tica rods. Had a problem with the wrap on two of mine and was told to take it to a GOOD rod builder to have it repaired. In short my reply was no more Tica rods for me.
