My son and I fished at SPSP from 6:00 am to 11:00 am, and we caught 2 fat white perch and two fat croakers (the largest about 18") on bloodworms. When my son reeled in the big croaker, we both thought he had a medium large rockfish. I also used cut bait on my big rods, but did not get a bite. The "little fish" were still biting when we left. I was really after rockfish (SMILE)! Had 8 bloodworms left and tried a new experiment when I got home. I brined them with kosher salt in a bowl with a sieve at the bottom and put the bowl in the refrigerator. After 24 hours, I will transfer the brined bloodworms to a small container to put in the freezer. It has worked very well in the past with cut bait. Will let you know how the bloodworms come out in fishing in the near future.

BLue Heron fished with me for a while. There were a few other fishermen. Action was very slow.

Green Cart,

Really enjoyed fishing with you yesterday. I see you caught another perch and another croaker after I left. The ones I saw you catch were beautiful. Big and fat.

Some of you may find the following info helpful:
The winds were blowing at 15-20mph from the SW. Waves were 1 1/2 - 2ft chop. Low tide was at 8:37am. The first fish was caught around 10:15am.

Good deal.

Has anybody caught any stripers at SPSP lately?
