I think it is the bay directly across from PLO on Md eastern shore. Big boating area. Not sure about any shore spots over there.

Want to fish the vicinity, go to Chrisfield on my side of the bridge. After Salisbury, take the exit south toward Pocomoke I believe. You may not be able to take the newer bypass, but you asked. Besides, Chrisfield is a neat place, and what you may not catch can be ordered in one of the local down home establishments.

TANGIER SOUND (from: /www.pottersplains.com)

Tangier Sound is separated from the Chesapeake by the barrier of Tangier Island, in Virginia waters to the south, and Smith Island in Maryland. Chrisfield on the eastern side is the seafood capitol of the Eastern Shore, but there are numerous smaller ports: Wenona on Deal Island, Chance and Dames Quarter, to the north, to name a few. As they have for centuries the people mostly make their living from the Bay. Called "watermen," they gather blue crabs and oysters, and take out fishing charters in a variety of vessels ranging from modern diesel-powered fiberglas inboard motorboats to classic sailing Skipjack oyster dredges.

Have Jeep will travel. :D

Littlefry,
If you got to Salisbury go out to Roaring Point, it's the mouth of the Nantickoe River, there is now improved access there and there is quite a long beach to fish off of. I know they have been catching croakers there for the last two weeks, I haven't been yet this year but I know some who have. There is also a headboat fleet in Crisfield. I know that some of the biggest Croakers and Trout come out of the Tangier Sound. Crisfield is a little out of the way, but if you like visiting places like that you'll have a blast.

I hear Roaring Point is good as well as the Bridges of Hoopers Island, and also Saxis Island.Last year they talked about Red Drum caught at Saxis Island before Iseabel.Saxis is on the other side of the Pokomoke(spelling)Sound.I hear Hooper Island is a good place for Stripers,Trout,Croaker, and Flounder.

Some of the places mentioned are close to the Tangier Sound but not on the Tangier Sound. But they are good spots that are worth trying.
