When do the Striper arrive?

A friend and I are looking to fish the NC or SC coast in early May. Does anyone know when the Striper typically start running.

Any suggestions on where to fish in Wilmington or North Myrlte areas?

As for North Carolina, they have arrived in the sounds and rivers. I boated 7 last week. I don't know how long that will stay around, but I would suspect there will be some around the bridge pilings most of the summer.
