Im looking for a good area to Surf Fish in the Currituck area. Can somebody give me some potential locations along the coastline from shore? I know all about the OBX and the OI but I need somplace closer to home.

Thanks for the clue but I was hoping there was a little more information than just walk east.

Well you are talking about Corolla area for surf. And it is a open flat beach. if you can read it well you will do fine. Now the water inland North of the Wright Memorial bridge is classifed as fresh water requiring a freshwater license. So I never messed with it. TW's has a shop in Corrolla but it has almost more turist stuff in it than fishing stuff. I would check with them. When My dad gets a house in Corolla I just head south to the Piers, OI or the rest of the OBX.

He said he already knew about OBX and OI,so I just kept my big trap shut this time.. :D Could have told him about the drum one of my friends kept saying was getting reported at TW'S last fall, but they ain't gonna be there now.. Did hear,if he has a boat,WMbridge had some schoolies around it a few days ago.. I used to catch quite a few stripers out of my jon boat on North River, but as you said FW license required..
Heard,at times, there are stripers near Research Pier also. But,all this is hearsay,no matter how reliable the source..

Thank you for the information guys but it looks like North of Kitty Hawk is a bust. I was just wondering about the potential of the area because it's rarely fished. Now I understand why it's not fished.
