I will be renting a kayak for the week (mid-June- Corolla area). Are there any fishing opportunities in the Currituck sound?

Thanks
Tim

It's freshwater shallows up there. Bass, catfish, that kind of thing. Plus you need a NC freshwater license to fish any of the sound north of Wright bridge (that covers everywhere you can paddle to west of Corolla).

Won't it be nice when ma nature decides there should be another inlet up there?

I lived there in Moyock for 17 plus yrs.. Wished many a day there had been a new inlet cut where Babara's Hill (I think that's the name) used to be an inlet before Army Corps closed her down.. Had a dock in the back yrd on NW river. Had it figured on a chart, could have hopped in the boat and been there in 30min. Just think of the fish you could catch going out of there..

There used to be an inlet up there.

Heck, there have been 25 inlets between there and Bogue through the years, but they pop open and blow shut with the big storms.

I never accused nobody of being old...

'experienced' maybe, or possibly 'salt cured'...
