SPADES!
Yes I've been a boat hoing fool lately, but I take what I can get! Been itching to catch some spades as my first two attempts failed, one due to weather the other to the big old skunk at CLT!
Headed back to the CLT on the ShelbyKat2 with Dr. Ike and arrived shortly before 7am. Didn't take long to hear the sweet sound of screaming drags with those spades on! Between three of us we limited with no problem. Caught more than our fair share and threw the littler ones back. All fish we kept were between 18"-21", with a few just short of paper.
CLT was busy, but not too crowded today and plenty of spades being caught. Water was almost glass going out at 6am and just a slight chop on the way back.
Heard some boat chatter of cobia in the bay and there was some at the dock when we got back! Sounds like the cobia went moff this morning for a while in the bay!
