Supposedly you're allowed two, but there's no pier gate and no one out there enforcing it. It's a free public pier, so you have to have a license. When it's slow and there aren't many people out, I might have as many as 4 or 5 poles out. However, once it get's crowded, I'll cut down to the two poles that are set up for the big stuff and use a small rod to throw plugs from the sides or drop straight down. Figure that way, everyone gets to have their 2 poles out. My one pet peeve is the people who are fishing their bait maybe 10 yards out from the rail for little fish and cutting me off from being able to put the heaver 100 yards out. :mad:

Sometimes though, I can talk them into letting me slide the heaver in there with them. Depends on the person.
