Launched out of Rudee crack of dawn headed toward sandbridge with hopes of trolling up some spanish then anchor to fish for cobia/shark. The bluefish cooperated with the clark spoons but once again no spanish, unbelievable really for this year. Anchored up off of backbay with bro in tow who never been boat fishing, had smoker run first 20 min with cut blue on bottom, thought it was a cobia ended up being a 35 pound blacktip which cooked up nicely on the grill, way to go bro! Caught a few small sandbars and that was about it for the day. Bunker are everywhere from sandbridge to damneck for those who are interested, bring your castnet. tight lines......................geo

Probably about mile and half, been there 3 weekends and you cant keep the little sandbars off your junk, but that was the first blacktip Ive seen in awhile, great fight thought it was a cobia at first, surfaced and everything but once it came to the boat it kinda fizzled out, not really cobia like. Must be a wreck in that area or something wont know until I hook up my fishfinder.......tight lines...............geo
