went down to the beach for a couple of hours this evening. caught 5 nice sheephead. didnt see much else but a bunch of crabs and some small whiting. water was 87 degrees.

nope just didnt want to give up ma spot........ :cool: nor bait ,nor exact time, nor exact tide, nor rig, nor nuttin for ma sheephead.closly guarded secrets.its kinda just if ya no ,ya no, ya no wat i mean!! :cool: me and donnie went. anyone that fishes tybee often knows that south african accent.i got 3 of them and he got 2.

Yeah, hindsight is 20/20. It was a stupid statement, but I have never landed one of dem' dar sheepshead mon'. And I have never been to tybee so I was not sure what it was like there :cool:

I do wish the ocean would chill a bit so I could go out and try for some whiting. It was churned up pretty bad Sunday night, might not be as bad tonight.

the higher tide here yesterday brought slightly clearer water in but the rain moving up the coast today will surely keep it prety stained. i think the cooler temps both air and water due to the cloud cover and rain may bring on a small increase in catches though.

I do agree, that temp drop we have had is nice. Should bring baout a sweet little increase in fins. Might even break out the heaver tonight.

probally will leave ma "heaver big fish achiever" :--| thats pretty corny and go for the barnacle crunchers again.

I had not heard that one before. Yeah, last time the crabs ate the bait so fast it was a waist of time.

u aint lyin!!!!!!!!! cut bait huh callin cut bait crab bait right now for sure in fact everything is crab bait even crabs are crab bait before you can set your crab runner (i.e. bait runner) :mad:
