I just re-uped and will be here in Germany till 2009  :D Glad I finally got a bonus but sort of sad that it pretty much sealed my fate from the Delmarva area. At my rank I only have one shot to get back and that would be WRAMC.(1 slot) Forsee a trip to the sandbox in my future, fitting as I have volunteered every time in the last 5 years. This gig will bring me to 15 years and 5 years till the promise land! :D Doesn't mean I won't be stopping in for a week or two every once in a while though. In fact some of you guys might see me at the end of next month as I have to attend a school in Aberdeen. So keep your ears open and phones on. ;) Tightlines!

Hate to hear that FLF, but if it's better for ya then we understand.
I got a buddy in the AF coming over there in Nov for 3 years!

That sucks, but good for you for serving your country.
You're not going to be around for the red run in September, are you?

Jason,
Hang in there - Maybe you need to make a trip to Garmish. :) That place really hops in the Winter for skiing!
Met a guy last week who got out with 18 years in! Duh! Hang in there - the first 10 are the hardest anyway. Just remember - your retirement check could pay for your mortgage like me. :) If you go South and retire, you would have some left over too...
Eat some wienersnitzel for me...

Congrats on the career decision. :) When you get to Aberdeen give me a call. You'll be all most next door to my marina and the rock fishing in the upper bay has been hot. :D

I hope things work out for you. Sounds like you are over your hump and on the downhill side of things.
Hopefully your transfer at WRAMC will work out, I know that it is one of the bases that was on the chopping block of base closings. But I can't see that. WRAMC is too big and necessary to move all of their services to Bethesda Naval.

Jason, I ain't one of these get all mushy kind of guys but after listening to these TV and Raido Arseholes *also known as reporters* talk about how bad things are, listening to the personal stories of our great men and women in the Armed forces helps me to remember just what makes OUR country the best in the world.
This goes out to all the service personal,,,I know it isn't said often enough or loud enough but THANK YOU for your service and I ain't no preacher but may God bless and protect you and the rest of your familys.
