I might head up there...I was there last thurs and was the only guy with a king rig out. Speaking of kings, heard any noise from the end of the pier lately? I don't have class tomorrow so its definately a possibility. I'll be wearing a red hat and sleeping behind my king rig in a chair once I've caught enough bait. ;)

I dont king fish, but I would not mind coming over and checking out a rig or two for kicks to see what it looks like. I have not been over to the pier in about 3 weeks.

Well, the last time I was there the fishing was awesome, but since then I think it's slowed down a bit. I think it's hit or miss with kings. Flounder might still be biting though. :) Sorry I couldn't help much.

I was there 8-13 to 8-16 and it was quiet. Mr B had 1 run on Saturday. There were several nice flounder caught. Pin fish were biting, as well as the Ribbon Fish. Only got to fish on Monday Eve. was moving my son into Coastal the rest of the time.

Where is the apachee pier, I have not lived down here long and have no real idea of where it is, would like to try it out though, as long as it is not like the Garden City pier, (tourists, the band and the bar at the end) too crowded.

Turn beside Kroger in the Galleria off Restaurant Row and keep going. At the stop light Apache campground is on the left side of the intersection across from you.

Apache is up by BassPro. If you are going north on 17. You turn right at the light where the storage place is, not sure what the name of the road is though. You keep going straight down that road almost all the wayt o the light then you will see the signs for the campgrounds, turn left into the park. You pay $5 to get in but you get cupons to use at the pier to fish.

If you go north on 17 bypass from surfside, go past dixie stampeed to Lake Arowhead road. Krogers and a BK is on Right. @ light turn right. go to next stoplight. Entrance to campground is there. You can also come up 31 to I-22 take 22 east to Kings Highway. @ stop sign turn Right. Wal-mart on Left and Tanger outlet on Right. Keep going straight down Kings Hway for about 2 miles. Apache is on Left.
