got up around 330 am as to get bait on the 438 am low tide. caught 5 dozen live shrimp or so got sheepshead bait and got to the pier about 545am. caught a few 18-20 inch trout just after day break lost a ten plus pound black drum and a good 5-8 pound redfish both broke me off on pilons with tha live shrimp. once it heated up fished for the sheepies and managed to get five good hookups on my "SECRET"sheepie bait but only got one on the deck.a good 5 pounder though!guess i stuck the other four in the roof of the mouth where youd need a jackhammer to penatrate!!!!!!!!!! all in all probally had 30-50 good hits from the sheepies. did throw the heaver out for about 20 minutes as the smaller bait fish were redilly biting but just to early in the year for me to leave trout slot reds black drum and sheepies alone so i pulled her in and went back to breakers.didnt see anyone else catching much but small 6-10 in. whiting on cut shrimp.werent very many true fisherman out though.left around 800pm and had a great trout and sheepie dinner off the grill. :) :) :) :cool: any body wanna go catch some sheepies or trout let me no i got a great spot for live shrimp and definatly got the sheepies on "lockdown "caught upwards of 35 sheepies in the past 10 days and lost that many on pilons.fun when their biting before you can even get your line tight enough to feel em but i got a bait and rig and method that virtually guaranties sheepies anyday. sorry not gonna post ma bait for sheepies or where i get it but would be happy to meet anyone their with it and catch some. :) fun to all and catch fish :D

hey c me and the wife went to the hole and netted about a quart and a half of shrimp tues and caught a few large male crabs :) i luv them crabs. i want to go sheepie catching with u but it looks like katrina and the waves is causing problems today. me and the boys are planning to fish fri after school if possible. will be at the hole fri morning for bait and din for sure because we caught some good size shrimp tues for a low country boil :) we will be available this weekend and mon if you want to hook up. we'll be at the hole at 8:00a fri stop if u have time. i got the ole lady throwing my small cast net real good and i may fish under the bridge a while. we will be out there sat as well see u all then.
