Hey guys,
I haven't been here in a while. Hope you are all catching fish and doing well.
I haven't been fishing in a long time. Just had a baby--named him Nolan. Starting a new job on Monday.
You think the fishing will be good this fall? Or should I just wait until next March/April when the fishing is to quit work for?

My boss was let go and my new boss is an ex-Marine who runs us like we were in his command on the front line. So, I've been staying off the net.
But, since Friday is my last day...
How's the fishing? I was lucky enough to have been laid off back in Feb so I got to fish a lot in the spring. Then they rehired me just when the fishing was dying down.
Now I'm leaving for something better. I'm thinking come October I'll have to drag my 5 yr old out fishing with me. Maybe I'll come to the P&S cookout thing at SPSP.

You have not missed much.
The rains and high temps have left their toll on bay fishing. Surf and Ocean fishing has been so so.
So you did not miss out on that much. :)
Congrats on the little one!! :)

Orest, you sold the place in Sharpsburg already? What happened? Couldn't stand being so far from the water?

the commute for both the wife and I would have been really long; so we bought a house and 3 acres in Carroll County, Woodbine area; so far I have torn out all the carpetting and we had hardwood floors installed in 6 room and a hallway, had 2 windows installed next to the fire place, am painting the whole inside, except 2 bedrooms upstairs. We got new kitchen cabinets ordered, a whirlpool tub to install in the MB bathroom; and then we can move in and sell the other house. So some time in the fall I can go fishing again. I hope.......

I know how fun that is. I just finished getting new kitchen cabinets, countertops, wood floors on the first level, new AC and airhandler, etc. I still have to paint the kitchen.

We are going with neither, we are choosing a solid surface also made by Formica.
No. I really like the reel. Put 2 extra mags in it.
Used it at AI last fall and C&R this spring @ SPSP, handles like a caddy.

I was rehired and didn't have a chance to fish right away. Then the fishing slowed down so I didn't bother.
It costs too much to get to the bay just to catch little fish. I've gone freshwater fishing a few times. Caught some good sized fish right here in Monkey County.
I'll fish a time or two this fall (hopefully Shaggy will show me the ropes at AI) and then again next spring.
