I here a lot about the main tybee pier, but what about the rest of the island? Theres the North Beach area, South Beach Point, Dock on the Creek just the other side of the bridge, any knowledge of what fish run these areas and when there good to try? Also, wheres the best place for some spanish and red fish? Finally, the shrimp you guys catch in the shrimp nets, these are the same shrimp we eat right, is it worth trying to shrimp for a couple of pounds for dinner or better to try the market? Thanks for any help. By the way, Im a newbie to Tybee Island from Pensacola, Fl. Nice to meet you all.

we like to fish the main pier because i have seen some awesome catches off that pier. i saw a guy catch 21 trout in 2 hours keepers and put some back. i've caught a few fish at the back river pier but a good crab location :) we luv crabs. lazaretto creek about the same as above. i have never fished the north much but will be there in cooler months. the shrimp are the same ones. they r a little small but we eat bait regularly. they are very good in a pot cheese grits. we wil be out sat stop by and say hello.

shrimp are worth cathchin but your gonna have to find them for yourself. I dont no anyone that ill give up a good live shrimp spot! :p the smaller 10-18 reds are in the rivers and the surf right now. ive had good luck with them fishimg at lazaretto creek this year got 9 reds their one day this year all 12-16 5 being keepers. and early morning in the surf. the big reds 25-50+ inches are here also just not spawning on the beaches yet so you really need a boat to catch em. but shouldnt be long 2-4 weeks before their on the beach. happy fish hunting and see you on the pier someday maybe.
