OH My God,
What do you do with 330 spot?
I guess there will be a cut bait stand at the entrance to the narrows this fall? Or perhaps ebay?
Nice work, Go home and rest your arms. Geeze

fyremanjef,
Them there are prime eating fish.
This is my winter stock. They will be vacum
sealed and frozen. I make one or two major
spot trips a year and stock up. I also have
my parents and in-laws to take care of.
I will make one more trip in about 3 weeks
for those big yellow bellies.
Fresh spot go quick...BELIEVE THAT! ;)

That is one of the nice things about spot,
we freeze them whole. We just put about
a meals worth into a vacuum seal bag and
then freeze them. When we want to eat
them, we just thaw out, clean and fry.
When the big yellow bellies come in, I
will fillet those with my electric fillet knife.
My mom will gut and scale hers though. She
soaks hers in salt water and then dries them
out in the sun. As she wants to eat them,
she will soak in water to rehydrate and then
bake them in the oven and eat with rice.

Great catch bro! I was considering booking a trip with them, but of all my friends I think I am the only one crazy enough to drive that far to catch spot. It's too bad because the rates can't be beat and the capt seems to put you on the fish.

WHAT A CATCH! WHAT A DAY! THE ONLY TIMES IVE CAUGHT THAT MANY FISH WAS EVERY YEAR DURING THE WINTER IN THE LATE 70s EARLY 80s AS A KID BUT THEY WERE FRESH WATER CRAPPIE OR SPECKLE PERCH WICHEVER YOU PREFER. MY GRANDMOTHER AND GRANDFATHER HAD A 200 ACRE LAKE IN THIER BACKYARD WE WOULD TROW CHRISTMAS TREES AND ANY OTHER TREE LIMBS AND DEAD SHRUBS ALONG WITH ABOUT 10 OTHER PEOPLE THAT LIVED ON THE LAKE OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THAT SUCKER AND IN THE WINTER YOU COULDNT TAKE ENOUGH LIVE MINOWS OUT THEIR FOR ALL THEM SUCKERS. MANY CATCHES OF 150+ PLUS FISH AND NUMEROUS 300+ CATCHES. MOST RELEASED ALOT EATEN THOUGH. CAUGHT 112 LARGE MOUTH BASS THEIR IN ONE DAY ALSO.
ALL 1.5 TO 7 POUNDS WITH ONE TEN POUNDER DURING THE SPRING SPAWN ALL ON ARTIFICIAL BAIT. SEEN A SEVENTEEN POUND LARGE MOUTH BASS CAUGHT OUTA THEIR THAT WAS MOUTED BEFORE I WAS BORN. BIGGEST I SAW IN PERSON FROM THEIR WAS 1.5 OZ. SHY OF SIXTEEN POUNDS THOUGH!!!!TO BAD IT WASNT ME.
