In the early morning there were large school of pogies on each side of the pier. Blues (2-3 lbs) and large reds were in them. As the tide went out, so did the pogies.
Caught a 3' ft blacktip and a couple of bluefish. Some nice trout were caught in the surf as well as some slot reds on live shrimp. BIG run on a bluefish I was fishing on the bottom. Not a big ray cause it broke water about 200yds off pier. Prob a large shark.
There was a big red cruising around the pier all day. I'd estimate about 25lbs or so. There was something wrong with it I think... Gave the turons a thrill.
Pier was empty all day.
