Went this past Sun out of Grandview just a little ways with buddy of mine. Drove 1 1/2 hours to Buckroe only to find out that the lift switch on his boat was not working - I am retarded when it comes to engines period. After we figured out where the screw was to release the hydraulics so that we could manually lift the outboard, we then took a look at the engine...blah, blah, blah. Thank God this guy's an electrician because we ended up going to advance, buying some wire, tape and a switch and he bypassed the cylinoid with a switch so we were able to operate it. Of course that was after about 4-5 hours of trying to figure out what was wrong and stuff. Anyway, on to the fishing. Went a little ways out from Grandview and just drifted. Caught 1 blue on a gotcha. Did run across a few schools of them. Also caught 1 flounder, 3 trout, 4 sea bass, a hand full of croaker, a few spot and some hogfish. Got dark too soon, had to come in and drive home.
