Hip Surgery Tomorrow Morning [Archive]

Well after putting off a total hip replacemen for way too long I've finally pulled the trigger and having it done tomorrow morning a 10:30 AM. If all goes well I should be released Saturday morning. Looking forward to Spring fishing where I can walk down a pier or out onto a beach. Couldn't do any of that this Summer. Only took the boat out about a dz. times. Set my goal at 100 days fishing in 2006. :) I'll see you all back on line in a week of so. ;)

I know a feller that had a hip and knee done at the same time/same leg....Now you would never even know he had a problem.....Good luck man, it'll be fine!

Hope you have a fast and painless recovery.

To all those surf and pier fisherman who spent countless hours not sleeping and filling our bellies with some not so jenny craig entrees at all times of the day. Let us be able to enjoy our favorite pastime a bit longer by keeping ourslves in good health and making regular doctors appointment and not putting off because someone yelled
"HOG" alert.

I've heard from people that the hip is a piece of cake compared to the knee.

He wanted to let everyone know that the surgery went fine. He's out of recovery and in his room having something to eat, thats a good sign.

They have him on pain control and are taking care of his needs. He'll give me a call in a day or two and let me know how it's going.

Lets all keep Nick in our prayers for a speedy recovery. Next time I hear from him I'll give you guys a update. ;)....Hat
