Got to IRI about 11am with sand fleas, green crabs, live spot, buck tails, and lots of hooks and sinkers.
Word for the day was SLOW.
Caught a few small Tog, some other people hand some keepers. . .even more then there 10 per person bag limit. . . .hence why they would catch one wrap it up and take it to their car.... :mad: :mad: :mad: My dad did lose 2 decent Togs in the rocks, he got them to the top and then let them get back down into the rocks my guess was about 17inches give or take a few
With the incoming tide at sunset i expected a few blues, and maybe some nice stripers. WRONG, fished till 6:30 nothing hit the spot i live lined out, nothing hit bucktails, nothing hit sting silvers, storms. . .nothing. did see a few boats catching dink stripers, but no keepers. Bailed out cause 1 we werent catching anything, and dad was starting to get cold.
Fished the north side all up and down with the lures.
Did manage to catch a buzz buts thats about it. Will try again next week hopefully the big boys move in a little better.
Overall nice weather good time, though the Togs were small that i caught they were my first ones ever. Anyone got any secrets on catching them. . . they are some smart little buggers.
Anyone interested in going or meeting me down there message me and we can try and set it up.
One last question. . . how long will sand fleas live in a bucket of sand and water with an air pump? They are still alive now figured it was worth a chance to see if they would live considering i have like 300 of them left.
