Well KDH III is out of the question, but talked to brother this morning, and we be hitting the sand tomorrow morning after I get off of work and fishing hard at least through Friday, if no calls, fish biting, might stay Saturday, but then, can't remember the last time I missed an Army/Navy game on TV, but another story. If we stay Saurday, and still no calls, and since I have off until Monday night, may fish into Sunday, or just decide to use our tickets and see what we so call a football team play :--| the team from Houston, might be better spending the time fishing or sleeping, but who knows?

Anybody have a quarterback for sale?

Anyways, if over on the shore, most know my Jeep, stop and say HEY!

Have Jeep will travel :D

Good luck Shaggy...May the Fish be with you!!!

Here is hoping, couple of fosh mojo wishes, so now only time will tell. We have called about everywhere from here to the ocean, and, no fresh to be found YET! HT suppose to get some this afternoon, so either Gary or myself may just have to leave the beach for a tad for the fresh bunka.

Shaggy, if you can read this on the beach, let us know how you are doing. Weighing AI surf vs trolling mid bay.

Would love to know how you are fairing - PJDSR and I got to AI (Chincoteague) on Fri. and had six rods in by 2:30PM and fished the incoming tide until a little after 8PM - managed only 3 skates and 1 shark. Wind was howling out of the w
West and we didn't see any working birds. We're going to hit the beach around noon today and fish both tide changes. Jimmy at Capt. Steves said a 17 lb rock was caught in the surf yesterday (Fri) and that a half dozen or so had been weighed in all week - with relatively few folks fishing - so there seem to be a few still around. In fact one was caught on a fly rod earler this week.

Tightlines to all. Will report back tomorrow on today's fishing.

I was wondering if anyone ever fished chincoteague. It is a beautiful strip of beach and easily accessible for those of us that are ORV permit challenged (I am 4wd but I am a dually so its a no go). Everyone talks about AI and I never hear mention of chincoteague. I know its not "mans best friend" friendly (no pets no alcohol) but its nice down there.

Anybody have any luck there this year from the non-orv beach?

Use to crab out of chincoteague years ago. Never really fished there, but as much crab as there is you best bring some floaters for your rigs. Even with floaters I would think the crabs would terrorize it. Also, BEWARE summer time there you will be donating your blood to the mosquitos. You will come out of there looking like a you were a contestant of "Survivor."

Cygnus, the place you call Chincoteague is AI. The bridge that takes you into the park is AI. I fish both ends of AI. Do a little better on stripers at the MD end and a little better on drum at the Chincoteague end.

Well, hopefully the weather and fishing was better down south. Hit the Island Thursday, late morning, fished hard until Friday evening and brother and I decided, hot shower, warm bed, of course after a hot Italian meal was in order.

Winds WNW, then some, blowing all three days fro 10 - 30 MPH, temps day time might have been low forties, nights, well, twenties.

The final result four skate Thursday, total skunk Friday, and one more skate just for good measure today. Brother Gary caught two shorts, 27" and 26", but a lost weekend of another kind.

Forrest got himself a nice one, well, according to my brother, he didn't stop and say hello to me, look what I got ;)

Anyways, out next Thursday and Friday to make another attemp, but still a very enjoyable time.

Hey Shaggy, great report. Did you see the pics from the Wheels n Reels tourney? Gotta do it next year. Looks like some good tides on AI this weekend.

Hey FB, say high to L(ittle) F(ish), yeah had marked on calander December 1 - 4 for KDH III, but father in law isn't well, so better thought stay close to home. Anyhow, more trips planned, will be there Thursday and Friday this week, and probably a few more times, but hoping this week there is a finned critter with my name on it!
