just got back from KN... fished 430 to 730pm and got a striped one... and by striped one, i mean the good ol' skunk... fished from incoming tide through high tide through slack tide and eventually outgoing tide... only people there was myself, my buddy and another gentleman... very nice guy, if you're a reader of this board, hope you get that first keeper you're after, especially since you said that this would probably be your last trip of the year...

This has been a less than impressive season, but at least you gave it a shot.

Better than what I did this weekend--froze my butt off on the Outer Banks for the exact same result.

Yeah pretty much the same out on AI Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Day temps upper thirties low forties and winds anywhere from 10 -15 mph to 25 - 30 mph. Thursday probably the worst, and Saturday the best. Me, five skate, chapped lips, wind burned and sand blasted face and one sore body.

Brother got two shorts, one 26" and one just a small stretch under 28", but too close to keep. Forrest stopped by brohter and showed him a nice fat keeper, wat to go Forrest, next time stop by and say hi!

Other than that, slow weekend, but will try again Thursday and Friday. Temps of water getting bad, so may be the last of the sufferring until Spring, who knows, temps low this week, and may just push the water temps down too far.
