a sudden career change is hopefully in the process, we will see over the next couple months. If so then i will be back buying new stuff. For now here are a few things that i must get rid of.
Removing myself and my goodies from this thread and this board. To some of you thanks but you guys just lost out on some chances at some really good tackle soon to come. Lots of RARE abus and custom rods. Sorry it came to it but some people need to grow up, maybe myself included. If things get better around here i might come back to join in a forum i once enjoyed reading and contributing when i could.

I am a registered user, but seeing as how this is more of a N.Eastern board you probably don't realize that.I usually post in the Florida forum, and occasionally in the distance forum. Sorry to invade your VIRGINIA ONLY SURFFISHING BOARD there buddy. Oh yeah, and Atlanticangler is a personal friend of mine and so is Frosty AND we all live in the same town AND none of this took place on "YOUR BOARD" SO GET OVER YOURSELF.
well despite the desire to tell you to go and phlock yourself. how about i say my apologies for making an ass out of myself instead?:p
but i do still stand that i see people whos only 20 posts in 3 years have been "i'll take it" and it does irritate the hell out of me.
but yes Barty B, my apologies to you, thats on me brother.

A lot of sellers here post their stuff to several different boards for the exposure, like this one. I might have missed it in the guidelines but maybe there should be a policy to address that if there is that much concern about sellers limiting the benefit to this board. (Sorry about the fine hodyoudo for my first post after 1+ year of lurking)

Just ignore that NTKG guy. He was just upset that he can't afford those stuffs that were forsale, neither do I. Post all of your selling where ever you want. I think it's better to sell on fishing boards than ebay. But I think there should be some kind of donation to the site where the stuff is sold. JMO :D

Well my friend bart said his peace I havent said mine. I too get pissy so to say with people thats why i limit my posts. I do post in other areas here not often, my problem is there are many people here that post but most are internet fisherman and troll every post so unless i deem it necessary to post i normally dont. When i try to help with a try this or heres an idea or even offer advice i get misunderstood or told i am a dumb-$hit i guess cause its not the way they do it or its not conventional. My only conclusion is people on these fishing boards think that they are the king of the water, including me at times, and if anyone shall attempt to help with advice or any other info they seem to get pissed. In this case someone isnt very content with what i have done, well show me where i broke any rules and it wont happen again and In a mature manner if someone did have a problem with something i have done i would think the right thing to do would be send me a pm and make me aware of it and we could handle it there, but your useless comments just seem to roll. For that, THANKS. :--| Now if you dont want anything or have anything useful to offer then move on. Theres my piece. Thanks for the rant.

AA and BB you are welcome to be here and I encourge you visit more often in any of the forum's including your home state(Fla I think). AA I'm sorry your fishing may be reduced but I will be watching to see if there is anything I need or want. Oh and many people here fail to relize the number of people who just read here and rarely if ever post. And I know Flea wants this to be a coastwide thing. Some of you know my situation with fsf.com, and some dont, but regardless of what happened there, I will not stand idle by while people cause trouble with them. Mike and Barty are both experienced surf fishermen with a heck of alot of great info. Frosty is a great source of knowledge and resources also, and one of the best rod builders in the country, but when they come on to boards and see crap like this happen, that is why they dont post anymore. You all will, at some point, have to understand that cocky answers are just stupid! If you dont have something intelligent to say, then keep your trap shut. IF you have a question about a post, that is what the PM functin is for.
Before assuming that someone is just cocking off, check their history, and posts. Most of us tend to stick to our region, but melt together here in a "marketplace" board.

If he doesn't take it as sincere..ta h@ll then...I ain't gonna waste anymore of my breath
Most folks I know on this board, know ,frequently converse and fish with one another...we go out of our ways to get fishing reports ,tackle deals ,stupid trivial fishing information to one another....but to call them stupid?....because they called out screen names that don't frequent this board often????? They may be regular posters and contributers on another board...but when they just pop up ,and another P&S member's voices there opinion regarding who and how... I don't agree with your reply...Big Bill....ur wrong....
You all will, at some point, have to understand that cocky answers are just stupid!
Put me on that stupid list...life's too short to not laugh and take too seriously....I know I am just a dumb fisherman...wife can't understand my fixation at casting an 8oz sinker a 100'+ yards and waiting fer a tug on my bait,I don't expect her too..That's why I fish and congregate with folks on this board.
but when they come on to boards and see crap like this happen, that is why they dont post anymore.
Like I said ...I and many on this board has seen them come and go...if they don't have thick skin or a lack of a sense of humor...stay outta tha kitchen. One man's crap is another's opinion. I am glad that crap like Flea's forums have flourished and thousands of pier , surf fishing enthusists and distance casters frequent the threads. If ya want luvs and hugs go Oprah or Dr.Phil.com.
If you dont have something intelligent to say, then keep your trap shut.
Last I checked , We the People...have the right to free speech.....We as adults have the options to read or not read or express what we feel....As adults we can censor ourselves...I don't need Big Brother or Big Bill to tell me that.
Most of us tend to stick to our region, but melt together here in a "marketplace" board.
The only thing that I may have agreed with to your reply....but to be on the market place to peddle tackle and then leave after some disparaging comments ,that were tacken back and and apologized over? Get over it!
I understand NTKG's opinion regarding the marketplace( may not agree with a 100%)...
And with that said...his opinion should have not run AA off...nor should it run anyone off

all i was saying was that AA had 89 posts, 58 of which were him either selling or buying... for me when over 65% of your posts are trying to sell things and your meaningful posts go in the other boards but you come in here to get rid of your stuff...... i found something wrong with that...
only i did, obviously no one else cares. and i was wrong to say anything about bartyb, as he has definately made good posts, and basically i was wrong to do that, and so i apologized. and to right now im still sorry i should never have said anything barty, my bad.
bb, i think your post was in defense of your friend, obvioulsy i apologized, your posting over there is different than your posting over here. you make it sound like I as one person somehow managed to keep you from impacting fisherman with important news. You and AA maybe the best fisherman on the east coast, but this forum does not know it because i dont have any posts where you guys were helping or giving advice here on this particular board. I for one havent been impacted by any of your information so me personally it wont affect me if you or AA chose not to post here anymore. I dont think you two should leave the board at all, and if it is because of me again I apologize, for the sake of the board, but like i said i believe you acted in defense for your friend and i can understand and respect that. As im sure al acted in part as a friend of mine, so for al's upset post i'll apologize as al is not a very agressive type of guy.
The "other" board mojeaux dissbanded cause everyone knew everyone and there was no new traffic going in. the boards just didnt have any questions, PS has much more traffic and many different skill levels, so new and old questions are asked and "re-asked", which keeps the boards turning, that and some of them guys in the other board just didnt get along with another one of them, as im sure most of us know about...
but you are right FishHunter, we should all, including myself try a little harder to not be as agressive in what we say because we are all here to gain more information and pass along the sport. i mean hey, wtf guys its winter this is what happens every winter... here's to hoping spring is early and we after some drum and get us off these computers.

Adam Smith's invisible hand of capitalism ain't it now. And hey, "What is something worth ? What someone is willin' to pay for it !"
However, agree w/the AC on this one. The intent and moreover spirit in which the P&S marketplace has changed to include the invisible hand versus a yard sale amongst friends. Regardless, still think Flea should get a cut on sales from the Market place be them from carpetbaggers or anyone else.

do you let what someone else posted bother you so much? Everybody is entitled to their opinion, even if its goes against your views or even bashes your views.
All this mud slinging is funny to me. You know how they say you should never discuss politiics and religion, some of you should never discuss fishing with others either.
And why would you let what some said about your post stop you from sharing your knownledge with others. After awhile you get a feel for who's post you ignore and for those you look forward to reading.
My 3.5 cents.

 My post was in defense of myself. I don't speak for anyone else (usually). I post here to LEARN more than teach, I'm a Northeast FL. boy, I dont know S#!t about The Point or o'coke or anything north of Tybee Island GA. so I dont try to tell people how to fish there.
Like I said, this is a N.E. dominated board, so as far as fishing goes I'll stick to the Florida forum of P&S. I come over to general discussion to read up and learn somthing, If I have a question I'll ask,and I'll usually keep my uneducated opinion to myself.
I post on the Distance forum (occasionally) because I am also interested in field casting/tourny casting, and P&S has a great forum to learn from. I have benefitted a good bit from that forum and feel I have also given some good info as well.
I will continue to post on this board, I am not mad with anyone, as I feel the situation was resolved in a mature manner by the parties involved.
As far as taking a joke or talking s#!t I can be the biggest smart azz of all time and more often than not I'm taken too seriously! So here's a little advise/forewarning, If I sound like I'm being an a-hole, I probably am but don't take it personally, it's not meant to be an attack, I just have a smart azz sense of humor :D

Short version. I have been posting here for a few years. My original screen name was fuzzyjr, i lost that password in a computer problem. As far as selling gear and such I guess you could say i have a fishing gear fettish. I buy tons of fishing equipment yearly in search of a few that i really want to keep, some of it doesnt even get used and I like to pass things on to fellow fisherman, mostly Seachaser. I like to think that by giving a deal to a friend or or another guy on the board it would be better than an ebaying it, that simple. Now moving on, I realized and remembered after reading this thread again, i had a little tussle with another person on here about a month ago in a different forum, and i thought you know same crap happened there that happened here, only i was the one bashing. I aplogized to him, I dont think he ever accecpted it, I knew i was in the wrong and made an honest effort to make it right, some people never get it right, i will try not to let this happen again. Heck the guy seemed to be a helluva fisherman, i barked at one of his comments and it went down hill. The dude never did anything wrong that i remember. Now to those that aplogized, preciate it, and accpeted and lets forget about it. I dont post much here, never really have. If i found somthing that i really thought needed some good direction or help and i have the right advice i would, that doesnt happen too often as there are just as many accomplished fisherman out there and many that are more, they can answer with out me too. I enjoy reading the forums here as the pertain to my style of fishing and i will post when i feel its necessary. I would rather read them anyway. If thats not contribution enough then i dont know what to say. Mike

Yep, Those are all good places to do it. Most of the Snookin is done in the southeast region of the state. Although good #'s of snook are caught up towards the Daytona/Ponce Inlet area. We dont see too many of them up in the Jacksonville area,They don't like our cooler water temps in the winter, low 70's is about all they can stand.

How's is the Real Estate business; kinda slooooow? My wife is an agent here in MD for L&F. Are you really going to cadet school?

Glad to see things have settled down.
Look, we're all friends here. It really chaps my ass when people think P&S is their own private clubhouse and no other kids are allowed in. I want this site to grow and welcome in newcomers, even if they're only here to sell their gear. ('cuz eventually, they'll start posting reports...)
I didn't start this site off to make money. I started it to give surf fishermen a place to hang and feel welcome. So welcome the n00bs, damn it!

Thanks for the welcome Sand Flea! As an Eastern Shoreman growing up (Salisbury & Ocean City) I feel OK on your board. I now reside in northeast Florida, after living all over our country. However, I still love coming back to "God's Country". I visit my brother in Mt. Vernon, on Tangier Sound at every opportunity.
Whether fishing the surf at Assateague, the Outer Banks, New England, or Florida's coastlines --east or west, I feel "at home."
