i want to know if i should just go fishing out infront of the hotel and does the tide really matter and lastly what kind of fish can i expect to catch on sand fleas? thanks alot again this board has help so much

Tide does matter, I have my best luck fishing the 3 hours before and after the high tide. As for sandfleas you will catch mostly pompano on them although croaker and drum like them also. Fishing the pier is alot of fun and you can get out to the deeper water that way regardless of how high or low the tide is. Just depends on what you want to catch.
