Got out on the end of the Jolly Roger Pier around 5:30am and got my king rig set up then we all started plugging. A few small blues here and there and then the spanish arrived. Nice ones in the 1-2# range all on gotcha plugs. I had a few on but they kept spitting the hook. I left the pier for about an hour between 9:30-10:30 and nothing exciting was reported to me when I got back. Replaced my gotcha with a bucktail and headed up the pier to shallow water to try for flounder and I caught one 17". Shortly after one guy picked up a chopper blue on a plug. Then for the rest of the day there were about 8 more caught on the king rigs. I got one around 6# and the biggest was over 9#. The wind picked up in the after noon making it hard to plug. Around 7pm the 3-4' black tip sharks started hitting, one even skied a guys blue, I had never seen that before.
Overall it was a good day of fishing, Topsailbum and King&Strut both made it down Sat afternoon and it was a pleasure fishing with both of those guys as well as the other guys that made it down. Hope to see ya'll out there again soon.
