I was in Clearwater Beach the 5th, 6th and 7th. I fished early morning from 5am to about 2or3 in the afternoon. The spanish and ladyfish were hitting very good from about 6 to 7:30am on gotchas. The ladyfish were hitting all day long. I've never seen so much bait fish hang around a pier. Sat. and Sun. the Jacks moved in. We just started following the Jacks while they crashed the water. What a site. Hundreds of them. All in the 10 to 15lb range. What a fight. Also saw a guy hook up with one of the largest snook I've seen. He was using a 10inch Spanish Mack for bait trying to catch a barricuda that was hanging around. There were alot of big snook hanging around the pier. All in all it was a good trip to Florida. I'm from Ohio and whenever I get a chance to fish Florida or the OBX I jump at the chance. You guys have some of the best fishing in the world down. Thanks for not being to hard on us vacationers.
