PC Jetty Park Trip

Last night we went out to the jetty to fish for a bit while the sun went down. My mom and dad came down from KY to stay with me for a week and don't really ever saltwater fish. Using live shrimp my Pop hooked into and landed a 34 inch 10 pound snook. We forgot our damn camera but I did get it on my cell phone so I will get picks posted when I figure out how to get the pics off of my phone. What a fight! Almost got into the rocks a couple of times and I had to climb down to land it. Awsome fish!

Did you take him home for dinner or you release him?. I tell you what NO other fish taste better than Snook. I will give it a try tonight in the Jetty park area and will post a report later.

We let it go :( My pops had a blast catching it and watching his eyes while he was fighting it was great. I want to catch one now! We might go back out again tonight also.

Way to go, Scottg247. And I applaud your release. Eat a steakburger instead. They can always grow more cows :rolleyes: , but we need to save as many of those good-fightin' fish as we can so we can catch 'em again!

Thanks. We already had a bunch of fish to eat at the house(Pompano) and he was just just a good looking fish we decided to let him live to fight another day. Man I am eating some pomp right now and it is SOOO good.
