California calling NS4D! Answer your PM or clear out yer voice mail. Show a brotha some love! :)
Wanted to tell you that close to where you will be coming out here (La Jolla) .... (75 mi So. of the OC) they are having Bonita Blitz's on the shore...
Catching 5-10 lb Bonita like we do in some of the Spot runs out there!:)
Whooooo Hoooooo!
FISHING REPORT .. Yes I actually went fishing... was going to post some T&A but the old lady has the camera in San Diego.
Went fishing at San Clemente pier ... absolutely beautiful day .. Decent and helpful locals ...
Using Berkley Gulp - camo soft worms (yes .. that's what they bite on here... I tried some blood worm fish bites with no takers) caught some Golden Pacific Croaker and a small Bonita.
Here the tides don't matter as much .. just need moving water within 4-5 ft of high or low.
Don't need a license on the piers either or jetties, but step on the sand off the jetty and they will nail yer arse.
Water is about 62 now... fish are starting to feed.
Some guys with a rowboat surf launched by Dana Point .. (if ANY of you are interested in these locations... yea right ... I'll put the coords so you can see on Google earth) They reported later that evening with photos ... Working the inshore kelp patties they caught over (C&R) 80 calico bass...
That must have been a blast !
